Which are the main preliminary warnings to follow for a perfect heater working inside the aquarium?
- BluClima is constructed in compliance with the relative international safety regulations (CEI EN 60335-2-55).
- Ensure that the voltage shown on the heater label corresponds to that of your home electrical power supply.
- Do not connect the heater to the power supply when it is not submerged in water.
- After immersing it in the water, wait a few minutes before switching it on, so that the thermostat can adjust to the temperature of the water.
- Always ensure the water level stays above the ‘minimum water level' mark shown on the heater.
- To avoid possible breakages due to thermal shock, the heater should be disconnected from the power supply at least 5 minutes before taking it out of the water or before adding or changing the water.
- The power supply cable has Z-type wiring, so it cannot be repaired or replaced: if damaged, the whole heater must be replaced.
- The heater can be immersed in water to a maximum depth of 1 m.
- When connecting the heater to the power supply, ensure that the lowest point of the cable is lower than the electrical socket so that drops of water do not accidentally run down the cable and into the power supply.
- The heater is intended for indoor use.
- Ensure that your home is protected by an automatic breaker switch with an operating current of no more than 30 mA.
- The heater is NOT a child's toy, so should not be used by unsupervised children or unfit people.
Note: if the heater is not fitted with a power plug, fit an approved UK 3 pin plug with a 3 amp fuse and where there is a minimum distance of 3 mm between the neutral and live wires.
